Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 21, 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Our Service.
1. About Linda McClure Co
These Terms and Conditions apply to the website https://lindamcclure.co and to the services, teaching, digital products and licensed materials offered by Linda McClure Co.
Linda McClure Co is operated by Mrs Linda McClure, a sole trader based in Scotland, United Kingdom.
Website: https://lindamcclure.co
Email: linda@lindamcclure.co
By booking a consultation, purchasing a service or digital product, joining a course or membership, commissioning teaching or content, purchasing a licence or using paid materials, you agree to these Terms and any additional terms provided on the relevant sales, booking, proposal, licence or checkout page.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts any statutory right that cannot legally be excluded.
Where UK distance-selling law requires a geographical business address before purchase, it will be supplied in the relevant seller or checkout information.

3. Website information
Website content is provided for general education and information.
I take reasonable care to provide accurate information. However, nutritional science, health guidance, technology and service availability may change.
Website content is not a personal medical assessment, diagnosis or treatment plan and should not replace advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
I may update, correct, remove or replace website content where reasonably necessary.
4. Nutritional therapy and medical disclaimer
Nutritional therapy is a complementary service intended to support nutrition, health and wellbeing.
It does not replace:
- Medical diagnosis.
- Medical treatment.
- Advice from a GP, consultant, pharmacist or other regulated healthcare professional.
- Mental-health crisis support.
- Emergency medical care.
I do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medication or instruct clients to stop prescribed treatment.
You must not stop, start or alter prescribed medication without consulting the healthcare professional responsible for prescribing it.
If you experience urgent, severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, seek appropriate medical attention. In an emergency, contact the emergency services.
Guides, courses, resources, recordings, workshops and membership content provide general education unless expressly delivered as part of an individual consultation.
5. Client responsibilities
To provide services safely and appropriately, I rely on you providing complete, honest and accurate information.
You agree to:
- Disclose relevant symptoms, diagnoses and medical history.
- Provide accurate information about medication and supplements.
- Disclose allergies and intolerances.
- Tell me if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy.
- Inform me about significant changes in your health.
- Tell me about relevant advice or treatment from healthcare professionals.
- Ask questions where information or recommendations are unclear.
- Seek medical advice where advised to do so.
- Take responsibility for deciding whether and how to implement recommendations.
- Inform me promptly about unexpected or adverse reactions.
Recommendations are based on the information available at the time. Incomplete or inaccurate information may make a recommendation unsuitable.
6. Children and family clients
Where services relate to a child, the booking must be made by a parent or legal guardian with authority to consent to the service and provide the child’s information.
The parent or guardian is responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information.
- Attending consultations where required.
- Obtaining appropriate medical advice.
- Implementing recommendations safely.
- Informing other responsible adults where necessary.
I may decline or stop providing support where consent is unclear, the service is unsuitable or assessment by an appropriate medical professional is required.
Nothing provided through Linda McClure Co replaces medical care for a child.
7. No guaranteed outcomes
Health and nutritional outcomes vary between individuals and may be affected by medical conditions, medication, lifestyle, adherence, genetics, personal circumstances and matters outside my control.
I do not guarantee:
- Weight loss.
- Symptom improvement.
- Disease remission or reversal.
- Particular laboratory or test results.
- A specific result within a particular period.
- That an approach will be suitable for everyone.
- Any particular personal, professional, health or financial outcome.
Testimonials and case studies describe individual experiences and do not guarantee another person will receive the same result.
8. Bookings and contracts
Submitting a form, application or booking request does not automatically mean I have agreed to provide a service.
A contract normally begins when:
- I confirm the booking or agree to provide the service; and
- Any required payment, deposit or payment arrangement has been completed.
For commissioned teaching, content creation, licensing or white-label work, the contract may also include an accepted proposal, statement of work, licence or separate written agreement.
If an accepted proposal, contract or licence conflicts with these general Terms, the specifically agreed written terms will take priority for that matter.
I may decline a booking where:
- The service is outside my competence or professional scope.
- Nutritional therapy does not appear suitable.
- Medical or emergency support is more appropriate.
- Required information or consent has not been provided.
- A conflict of interest exists.
- Payment remains outstanding.
- Abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour has occurred.
If I decline a paid booking before providing the service, the relevant payment will be refunded.
9. Prices and payments
Prices are stated in pounds sterling unless expressly stated otherwise.
Payment may be accepted through:
- Stripe.
- PayPal.
- Bank transfer.
- Invoice.
- Another method shown at checkout.
Stripe and PayPal process payments under their own terms and privacy policies.
You are responsible for ensuring that:
- Payment and billing information is accurate.
- You have authority to use the selected payment method.
- Sufficient funds are available.
- You understand the total price before purchasing.
I do not normally receive or store your complete payment-card number or security code.
I may withhold a service, licence, product or access until the required payment has cleared.
10. Payment plans
A payment plan allows an agreed total price to be paid in instalments. It is not a pay-as-you-go arrangement unless expressly described as such.
By selecting a payment plan, you agree to pay all instalments when due.
Stopping participation, failing to attend or deciding not to use the remainder of a service does not automatically cancel outstanding instalments.
This does not affect any statutory cancellation right or remedy that applies.
Services, licences and digital access may be suspended if a payment becomes overdue.
11. Appointment cancellation and rescheduling
The cancellation terms shown on the relevant booking page or confirmation form part of your agreement.
Unless different terms are stated:
- At least 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
- With sufficient notice, an appointment may normally be rearranged once.
- Missed appointments and cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged in full.
- Repeated rescheduling may be treated as cancellation.
These appointment rules are separate from applicable statutory cooling-off rights.
If I cancel an appointment, I will offer a replacement appointment or refund the affected appointment.
I am not responsible for reasonable delay caused by illness, emergency, internet failure, severe weather or another event outside my control, but I will try to rearrange the service.
12. Online consultations and recordings
You are responsible for having:
- A suitable device.
- A reliable internet connection.
- A safe and reasonably private environment.
- Any software required to access the consultation.
A consultation will only be recorded where this has been explained and you have agreed.
Where a recording is provided for download, it will normally be available for seven days. You are responsible for downloading it during that period.
Consultation recordings and materials are for your personal use. They must not be copied, shared, published, uploaded, sold or distributed without written permission.
Recordings will not be used for teaching, marketing or another unrelated purpose without separate permission.
13. Statutory cancellation rights for services
A UK consumer purchasing a service online will normally have 14 days from the date the contract is formed to cancel without giving a reason.
If you ask me to begin providing the service during that period:
- You expressly request early performance.
- If you cancel before the service is completed, you may be required to pay for the part already supplied.
- Once the service has been fully performed, your cancellation right may end if you previously acknowledged that consequence.
These provisions do not affect your legal rights where a service was not provided with reasonable care and skill or otherwise failed to comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
14. Refunds for consultations and completed services
Fees pay for my professional time, assessment, preparation, consultations, research, recommendations, resources and support. They do not purchase or guarantee a particular health outcome.
Once a consultation or other service has been delivered, it is not refundable merely because:
- You did not achieve the result you hoped for.
- Symptoms did not improve or returned.
- You disagreed with or chose not to follow a recommendation.
- You did not complete agreed actions.
- Your circumstances, health or preferences changed.
- You later decided the service was unsuitable.
- You expected an outcome that was not expressly promised.
Where a package or programme has begun, work already completed is chargeable. This may include:
- Reviewing forms or records.
- Preparation.
- Research.
- Consultations.
- Written recommendations.
- Resources.
- Support already supplied.
Any refund legally due following cancellation will be calculated after deducting the reasonable value of work already completed and content already supplied.
Lack of improvement does not, by itself, mean the service was faulty or was not provided with reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in this section removes your statutory rights. If a service has not been delivered with reasonable care and skill, has been materially misdescribed or otherwise breaches consumer law, you may still be entitled to an appropriate remedy.
15. Digital products, guides and resources
Digital products may include:
- Guides and ebooks.
- Downloadable resources.
- Meal plans and educational plans.
- Videos and recordings.
- Online courses.
- Templates and worksheets.
- Presentations and teaching materials.
- Membership resources.
- Other digital educational content.
Digital products are supplied electronically and are licensed for the use stated at purchase.
Before receiving immediate access to digital content, a consumer agrees that:
- The digital content should be supplied immediately.
- Delivery or access may begin during the statutory 14-day cancellation period.
- Once downloading, streaming, email delivery or account access begins, the statutory right to cancel is lost.
- The purchase becomes non-refundable once delivery or access begins, except where required by law.
If you do not agree to immediate delivery and loss of the cancellation right, access may be delayed until the 14-day cancellation period has ended.
Digital content must still be:
- As described.
- Of satisfactory quality.
- Fit for a disclosed purpose where applicable.
If digital content is faulty, materially misdescribed or cannot be accessed as agreed, contact me so that I can provide the remedy required by law.
16. Digital-product refunds
Digital purchases are non-refundable once delivery or access begins, provided the consumer expressly consented to immediate supply and acknowledged the loss of the cancellation right before purchase.
Refunds will not normally be issued because:
- You changed your mind after receiving access.
- You did not download or use the product.
- You did not complete a course or programme.
- You purchased the wrong product.
- You no longer want the material.
- The content did not produce the result you hoped for.
- You lacked the required device, software or internet connection where those requirements were explained before purchase.
This does not affect statutory rights where digital content is faulty, materially misdescribed or not supplied as agreed.
17. Courses and educational programmes
Courses, workshops and educational programmes provide general information unless expressly sold as individual nutritional therapy.
You are responsible for deciding whether the material is appropriate for you and obtaining medical advice before making significant dietary or lifestyle changes.
Medical advice is particularly important where the material concerns:
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Children.
- Diabetes or blood-glucose-lowering medication.
- Eating disorders.
- Kidney, liver, pancreatic or gallbladder conditions.
- Serious or unstable health conditions.
- Prescription medication.
- Conditions requiring medical supervision.
Course access may be limited to a stated period. Where the access period is disclosed before purchase, you are responsible for completing the course or downloading permitted materials during that period.
18. Memberships and subscriptions
If memberships or subscriptions are introduced, the relevant sales and checkout information will explain:
- What is included.
- The price and billing frequency.
- Any minimum term.
- How access is provided.
- How to cancel.
- When cancellation takes effect.
- Whether a trial period applies.
Recurring payments will be collected through the selected payment provider until cancelled according to the terms accepted at purchase.
Cancelling normally prevents future renewal. It does not automatically create a refund for a payment already taken or an unused part of a billing period, except where required by law or expressly stated.
I may make reasonable changes to membership content, schedules or delivery methods where the overall membership remains substantially consistent with its description.
I may suspend or terminate access for:
- Non-payment.
- Unauthorised account sharing.
- Copyright infringement.
- Harassment or abuse.
- Unlawful conduct.
- Serious breach of these Terms.
If I permanently discontinue a prepaid membership, I will provide any refund legally required for the part that will not be supplied.
19. Ownership of copyright and Intellectual Property
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in a separate written agreement signed by me, all Intellectual Property created, developed, owned or supplied by me remains the exclusive property of Mrs Linda McClure.
All rights are reserved.
This includes:
- Website content and blog posts.
- Guides and ebooks.
- Downloadable resources.
- Courses, workshops and membership content.
- Curriculum and lesson structures.
- Videos, audio and recordings.
- Presentations and slides.
- Nutritional education and programme materials.
- Worksheets, templates and protocols.
- Meal-planning resources.
- Frameworks, methods and teaching approaches.
- Research, written explanations and original arrangements of information.
- Consultation materials and written recommendations.
- Graphics, photographs and illustrations.
- Logos, branding and original creative concepts.
- White-label materials.
- Materials developed for colleges, training providers, organisations or clients.
- Pre-existing knowledge, systems, resources and materials incorporated into commissioned work.
Purchasing a product, commissioning work or paying for teaching does not, by itself, transfer copyright or ownership.
20. Personal-use licences
Unless a different licence is stated, purchasing digital content gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use it for your own private purposes.
You must not:
- Copy, reproduce or republish it.
- Share files, downloads or access.
- Sell, license or sublicense it.
- Upload it to another platform or shared folder.
- Alter or create derivative products from it.
- Remove copyright or branding notices.
- Use it to teach, train, coach or advise others.
- Include it in your products, services, courses or memberships.
- Present it as your own work.
- Use or submit it to an artificial-intelligence system for training, reproduction, analysis or content generation.
Each purchase is licensed to one person unless a separate multi-user or professional licence has been agreed.
21. Teaching and commissioned content
Where I create, develop, write, present or teach original content for a college, training provider, organisation, client or other third party:
- I retain ownership of my pre-existing Intellectual Property.
- I retain ownership of my original frameworks, methods, approaches, templates and resources.
- Payment for my time, content development or teaching does not automatically transfer copyright.
- The commissioning organisation receives only the rights expressly stated in the written agreement.
- Permission for one course, cohort, event or organisation does not create an ongoing right to reuse the material elsewhere.
- Recording a session does not transfer ownership of the teaching or materials.
- A recording may not be reused, sold, edited into another product or provided to future cohorts without written permission.
- My name, image, voice or materials may not be used to suggest continuing endorsement without permission.
Any transfer or assignment of copyright must be expressly agreed in a separate written document signed by me.
These Terms do not override a separate contract that I have signed which expressly assigns identified Intellectual Property rights.
22. White-label materials and licences
White-label status does not transfer copyright or ownership.
Where white-label material is supplied, the purchaser receives only the permissions expressly stated in the applicable licence.
A white-label licence may permit specified activities such as:
- Adding the purchaser’s name, logo or brand.
- Making defined edits.
- Using the material with the purchaser’s own clients or students.
- Distributing a specified number of copies.
- Using it within a named programme.
- Reselling it where resale rights are expressly included.
Unless the written licence expressly permits it, a purchaser must not:
- Claim ownership or authorship of the underlying work.
- Register the material or any substantial part as their own copyright or trademark.
- Sell, transfer or sublicense the source files.
- Grant white-label or resale rights to another person.
- Convert the material into another product for sale.
- Use it outside the agreed business, course, audience or territory.
- Share editable source files.
- Remove required ownership, licence or attribution notices.
- Use the material to train an artificial-intelligence system.
- allow another organisation to teach from or distribute the material.
- Reproduce more copies than the licence permits.
All rights not expressly granted remain with Mrs Linda McClure.
White-label and commercial licences may be subject to:
- A one-off or recurring fee.
- User, client, student or copy limits.
- Time limits.
- Territory restrictions.
- Brand or quality requirements.
- Restrictions on editing.
- Restrictions on health or medical claims.
- Audit or record-keeping requirements.
Breach of a white-label licence may result in immediate termination without refund and may lead to legal action.
23. Business and practitioner use
A personal-use purchase does not give a practitioner, coach, tutor, college, training provider or business permission to use the material professionally.
Professional or organisational use requires a separate written licence.
This includes using materials:
- With clients or students.
- In consultations.
- In teaching or training.
- In a course or membership.
- As part of a paid or free service.
- Within an organisation.
- For resale or lead generation.
- As the basis of another product.
Please contact linda@lindamcclure.co to discuss an appropriate professional, teaching, white-label or commercial licence.
24. Copyright enforcement
Unauthorised copying, sharing, teaching, recording, resale, licensing or distribution may result in:
- Immediate withdrawal of access.
- Termination of the relevant licence.
- No refund.
- A requirement to remove or destroy unauthorised copies.
- Recovery of applicable licence fees.
- Legal action to protect my Intellectual Property.
Ending access or a licence does not transfer ownership and does not prevent enforcement of rights arising before termination.
25. Accounts and security
Where an account is required, you are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information.
- Keeping passwords and access links secure.
- Preventing unauthorised access.
- Notifying me if you believe your account has been compromised.
You must not share an individual account with another person.
I may suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect security, investigate misuse or address a breach.
26. Reviews and testimonials
Reviews and testimonials must reflect the author’s honest experience.
Where a testimonial is supplied privately, I will seek permission before publishing identifiable information.
Permission for future publication may be withdrawn, although this may not require the recall of materials already lawfully printed or distributed.
Testimonials do not guarantee another person will receive the same result.
27. Acceptable use
You must not use the website, services, courses, memberships or communities to:
- Break the law.
- Harass, threaten or abuse another person.
- Publish confidential information.
- Introduce malware or interfere with security.
- Attempt unauthorised access.
- Collect information about other users.
- Share paid materials without permission.
- Misrepresent your identity or qualifications.
- Promote dangerous or deliberately misleading health claims.
- Send unsolicited advertising or spam.
Access may be suspended or terminated for serious misuse.
28. Third-party services
The website and services may use or link to third-party providers, including:
- Stripe.
- PayPal.
- Zoom.
- Email providers.
- Course or membership platforms.
- Social-media platforms.
- External websites and directories.
Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
I am not responsible for third-party services outside my reasonable control.
29. Availability and technical problems
I take reasonable steps to keep the website and digital content available, but continuous or error-free access cannot be guaranteed.
Access may be interrupted because of:
- Maintenance.
- Security updates.
- Hosting or software failure.
- Internet disruption.
- Third-party platform failure.
- Events outside my reasonable control.
Where a significant technical problem prevents access to paid content, I will take reasonable steps to restore access or provide an appropriate alternative.
30. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence.
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Breach of statutory consumer rights.
- Any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to those protections, I am not responsible for loss caused by:
- Incomplete, inaccurate or withheld information.
- Failure to seek or follow appropriate medical advice.
- Unauthorised changes to medication.
- Use of general educational content instead of personalised professional care.
- Misuse or unauthorised sharing of materials.
- Events or technical failures outside my reasonable control.
- An outcome that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.
For consumers, liability is not excluded where loss was a reasonably foreseeable result of my breach.
For business customers, my total liability arising from a particular purchase, service or licence will ordinarily be limited to the amount paid for that purchase, service or licence, except where prohibited by law.
31. Ending services and licences
Either party may end an ongoing service according to its booking, programme, membership or licence terms.
I may end or suspend a service or licence where:
- Continuing would be unsafe or professionally inappropriate.
- The service is outside my competence or scope.
- Information or consent has been withheld or withdrawn.
- Payment remains overdue.
- Abusive, threatening or unlawful conduct occurs.
- Copyright or licence terms have been breached.
- These Terms have otherwise been seriously breached.
Any refund will depend on:
- Work already completed.
- Services already supplied.
- Digital access already provided.
- Licence rights already exercised.
- Statutory cancellation rights.
- The specific terms accepted at purchase.
Termination does not cancel outstanding payment obligations or transfer Intellectual Property ownership.
32. Privacy and confidentiality
Personal information is handled according to the Linda McClure Co Privacy Policy.
Health information is treated as special-category personal data.
Cookie use is explained in the Cookie Policy.
Client confidentiality may be broken where:
- Disclosure is required by law.
- A safeguarding concern arises.
- There is a serious concern about someone’s safety.
- Disclosure is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
- You authorise communication with another professional.
33. Complaints
If you have a concern, email linda@lindamcclure.co and include:
- Your name.
- Relevant order, booking or licence details.
- A description of the issue.
- The outcome you are seeking.
I will try to acknowledge and address the complaint within a reasonable period.
This does not affect statutory rights.
34. Changes to these Terms
I may update these Terms to reflect changes in services, products, licensing, technology or law.
The Terms applying to a completed purchase are normally those accepted when the contract was formed unless:
- A change is required by law.
- You expressly agree to it.
- A continuing membership or licence permits reasonable changes and appropriate notice is provided.
The current website version will display its effective date.
35. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.
The Scottish courts will have jurisdiction, except that a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom may also have the right to bring proceedings where they live.
Consumers outside the United Kingdom may retain mandatory local consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
36. Statutory cancellation notice
Where you have a statutory right to cancel a service, you may notify me by emailing linda@lindamcclure.co.
You may use the following wording:
I give notice that I wish to cancel my contract for the following service:
Service or booking:
Date ordered:
Customer’s name:
Customer’s email address:
Date of cancellation:
You do not have to use this wording, but the request must clearly identify the relevant purchase.
This cancellation right does not apply after immediate digital delivery begins where you expressly consented to immediate supply and acknowledged losing your cancellation right.
