Food Is Medicine
You've Tried So Much
So WHY Are You Still Struggling?
Sometimes the answers lie in understanding what food is doing inside your body.

METABOLIC HEALTH IS MORE THAN JUST WEIGHT LOSS
Metabolic Health
Don't Blame The Butter For What The Bread Did!
Nobody wakes up wondering how their metabolic health is doing. A lot of people do not even know what it truly means.
BUT you notice the other things.
Like, your belly is getting bigger. The weight comes off, goes back on and eventually refuses to move at all.
You finish eating, and the food noise is back soon after.
Your energy is unpredictable; your strength & mobility are disappearing.
The thought of another twenty to fifty years in a body that already feels a bit shite is not exactly a fun thought.
You're told to just 'Eat Less, and Move More'! ARGHHHHH that sentence just pisses me off so fricking much!
Metabolic problems rarely stay
inside the box marked metabolism.
High Carb
Blood sugar rises. Insulin responds.
If you are already insulin resistant, your body has to work harder to handle that glucose. The amount of carbohydrate you eat matters.
+ Fructose
Fruit contains sugar too.
A health halo does not make it unlimited.
Whole fruit, juice, honey and syrups all contain fructose. The amount and form matter, particularly when we are addressing blood sugar and liver health.
+ 2 Much Fat
Fat is essential. More is not always better.
Adding plenty of fat to an already high-carb diet adds more energy to the mix. And on keto, eating more fat does not automatically mean losing more body fat.
The amount needs to match what we are trying to achieve.
+ Low Protein
Low protein does not just create a hunger problem.
Protein supports muscle, strength and tissue repair. It also takes more energy to digest and process than carbohydrates or fat. That is the thermic effect of food.
Skimping on protein can make preserving muscle harder, especially when losing weight.
= THE RESULT
More belly fat. Less muscle. Still hungry. Weight that will not shift.
Over time, this pattern can contribute to worsening metabolic health, including insulin resistance, fatty liver and Type 2 diabetes.
And you are still being told to just eat less and move more.
Hey I'm Linda
I Know What That Metabolic Mess
Looks Like Because I Lived It.
I was over 23 stone, very unwell, autoimmune chaos, covered in psoriasis and heading towards type 2 diabetes, if not already there.
So I researched FOOD and changed what I ate.
My psoriasis disappeared, the autoimmune flares stopped, my brain came back, the joint pain was gone, and I lost six stone.
Then I spent six years stuck at the same bloody weight, up and down like a fricking yo-yo, despite keto, carnivore and fasting.
Turns out I became brilliant at burning fat.
The only problem was that it was from the fat I had just eaten.

What Went Wrong?
The food pyramid got too many things backwards.
Food has hormonal and metabolic effects.
Human beings need food that works with human physiology.
That should not be controversial.
“Linda is incredible at listening and finding out what you need as a person. She makes a plan and follows up regularly making sure you are happy with everything. Her knowledge is far beyond any Dr I've ever been to in the nutritional field, and that knowledge is her super power. I would 100% recommend speaking with her, it's life changing!”

Unlearn to Relearn
You do not need to arrive here agreeing with everything I think about food.
You do need to be willing to question what you have been taught.
Healing with fat
And burning your own fat are different jobs.
The Problem is When The Fat You are eating is the Only Fat You Are Burning!
Healing with fat
Your body needs fat. For cells, hormones, your brain and absorbing certain vitamins. When carbohydrates are reduced, fat also provides an alternative source of energy.
But “fat is essential” does not mean “keep eating more of it”. How much you need depends on what is happening in your body and what we are trying to achieve.
Burning your own stored fat
Being in ketosis does not automatically mean you are losing body fat. You can be burning fat from your food while the fat you want to lose barely shifts.
I know, because I spent years doing exactly that.
If losing body fat is the goal, I may adjust dietary fat while keeping carbohydrates low and prioritising enough protein to support muscle. That does not mean cutting fat out or leaving you underfed.
The person in front of me tells me where we start.
So What Happens If We Work Together?
I Want The Whole Story.
Not just what you ate yesterday.
I want to know what has been happening in your body and in your life.
I read across your health history, symptoms, food, medication and everything else that might matter.
Because those things don't happen in separate little boxes.
Linda is flipping brilliant. She knows so much about everything, and is totally committed to finding out each individual's unique issue to help them; she is such a gift.
